Shasta Weitz

Hi! I'm a health and wellness profession who loves to share my passion for healthy movement with others.I began my teaching career in 2002 in Sag Harbor and have had studios in NYC and Westchester before permanently moving back to the Hamptons full time opening Shasta Pilates - Bridgehampton in 2021 and moving to our fabulous new studio in East Hampton in June 2024. I discovered Pilates in 2002 and was immediately hooked on the strength, flexibility and balance aspects it provided to me. Pilates gave me a feeling that I had never experienced in all of the other modalities I had participated in since I began my fitness journey in my teenage years.  I knew right away this is what I wanted to experience in my life and share with others. I added my Health Coaching Certification in 2007 as I believe that wellness is not just physical fitness but how you treat your body through nutrition, sleep and mental wellness. I integrate health coaching into my pilates sessions to create a well rounded experience for all of my clients.

I enjoy working with clients of all backgrounds and ages from teens to seniors and elite athlete to those with special needs including pre/post natal, osteoporosis, scoliosis, cancer recovery, injury and surgery recovery, and chronic back, neck, hip and shoulder aches and pains. I obtained my Clinical Diploma in 2022, taking my teaching to the next level with my ability to facilitate injury recovery and strength building.

Every session is designed to meet your individual needs and goals in a fun and dynamic environment. My greatest joy is watching my clients bodies transform and build strength and freedom in movement.

Over the years I have been grateful to attend workshops and certifications with the Pilates Masters and their Students including Lolita San Miguel, Ron Fletcher, Alan Herdman, Mary Bowen, Mari Windsor, Elizabeth Larkam, John Garey and many others. Shasta lives with her husband Doug and 2 children, Charlie and Dash, in East Hampton, NY

Jennifer DeVane-Mulhern

Jen first fell in love with Pilates as a dance instructor in the early 2000s. She loved how she felt after doing Pilates and was excited to pass this onto her dance students. After almost a decade as a student of the Pilates Method, she gained her mat Pilates teacher certification in 2010. A pre/postnatal certification and her comprehensive certification with Balanced Body soon followed.

Over the past 14 years as a Pilates instructor, Jen has done many workshops geared towards more efficient and functional movement and has experience working with clients of all ages and abilities. Since becoming a mother in 2018, pelvic floor health and pre/postnatal education and care have become very important to her as she experienced dramatic changes in her own body.

Jen is passionate about Pilates and views the teacher-client relationship as a collaboration. She tailors her classes and sessions to the wants and needs of her students and guides them in finding connections between what they do in their Pilates sessions to daily movement for the purpose of improving movement, relieving pain, and living life to the fullest.
